If you are unable to attend at the given time, please contact your Health Visitor for further advice and another appointment. Please contact your health visitor if you have not received an appointment by the time your baby is 2 months old. The following schedule is to give you an indication which vaccines your child needs and when it is due.

The timings and vaccines may change due to new vaccines being added to the schedule.
Immunisations clinics are held on the first and third Friday of each month between 10.00a.m. to 11.30 a.m. by the practice nurses. Appointments will be sent to you.

Routine immunisations are a most important part of preventative care for children, and we strongly recommend that your child has all the immunisations offered.

Non-NHS services

The NHS does not pay for some of the services we provide. These include private sick notes, insurance forms, holiday cancellation forms, medical reports, fitness to travel certificates, private prescriptions, passport signing and some vaccination services. Our fees for these services, which are in line with BMA approved national guidelines, are displayed in the surgery.

Sick certificates

You do not need a sick certificates until you have been off work for more than three days. You do not require a doctor's certificate until you have been absent for seven days (including Saturday and Sunday). A self-certificate covers the period between three and seven days.

If you are employed, you obtain the SC2 self-certification form from your employer. If you are unemployed or self-employed, you obtain it from the surgery, the post office or the DSS. If you still require a certificate of illness up to seven days, a certificate can be provided on a private basis, but there is a charge for this service.
